Quantity Surveyor
Job Summary
The incumbent has the responsibility to manage tenders, contractual arrangements and construction costs of projects undertaken by the Corporation, and its subsidiaries as requested. 


The ideal candidate should have: 
  • Specific knowledge, qualifications and experience:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualifications from an accredited tertiary institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years post registration experience
  • Sound knowledge of quantity surveying experience
  • Sound knowledge of construction technology and techniques
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques
  • Working knowledge of the government of Jamaica Procurement Guidelines
Required skills and specialized techniques
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
  • Excellent human relations skills
  • Sound research, analytical and report writing, and presentation skills
  • Sound statistical, word processing, database and spreadsheet application skills


Intermediate Draughtsman
Job Summary:
The incumbent has the responsibility to prepare and present working drawings for projects based on specifications/instructions from the architects/engineers.

The ideal candidate should have:
Specific knowledge, qualifications and experience
  • Diploma in Building Technology
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in architectural or engineering draughting
  • Sound knowledge of computer aided design, draughting techniques and symbols
  • Sound knowledge of detailing and construction methodologies
Required skills and specialized techniques:
  • Sound ability to interpret architects and engineers' designs and calculations
  • Sound time management skills
  • Sound spreadsheet and word-processing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
  • Sound reasoning and judgement
