This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE MOBILE VEHICLE OPERATOR WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION performing the following: 1) Operating motor vehicles such as sedan, pickup trucks, panel and flatbed trucks, carryalls, cargo vans, step vans, and forklifts weighing up to 10,000 pounds; 2) Operating a two-way radio to communicate with supervisor or dispatcher; and 3)Coupling towed vehicles for transport.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Must be able to obtain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty AND must be able to maintain the required level of clearance while employed in the subject position. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Work is performed outdoors about 90% of the time. Occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions while loading or unloading cargo.
Work requires lifting and moving heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may lift items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance of other personnel or mechanical aides.
Work requires frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, working in cramped positions, and climbing.
Must be able to wear personal type safety equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Incumbent may be required to obtain government travel card of official travel, or use personal credit card/funds, and file for reimbursement.
Incumbent is required to work overtime, shift, weekend, and holiday work.
The position requires emergency overtime and call back.
