To qualify for the Editorial Assistant, GS-1087-06, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Editing manuscripts to assure clarity of expression through grammatical construction.
- Submitting edited manuscripts to originating offices for concurrence.
- Utilizing grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and editing skills.
- Utilizing office automation equipment and software products to include desktop publishing applications (e.g., Microsoft Word) and copy preparation for printing and electronic publishing (e.g., Abode Acrobat Professional) to create, retrieve, or maintain electronic files.
To qualify for the Editorial Assistant, GS-1087-07, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as:
- Utilizing the principles of layout and technical illustration in order to plan and produce effective and informative publications.
- Editing manuscripts to assure clarity of expression through grammatical construction.
- Advising authors, editors, and other publication personnel about requirements of current publications.
- Recommending changes in current specifications and suggesting presentation methods for new publications.
- Submitting edited manuscripts to originating offices for concurrence.
