The mission of the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Programs team is to maximize the physical, emotional and social development of the Navy family. FFR enables a ready Navy force through its Fleet Readiness, Family Readiness and Housing Programs. We service all non-appropriated fund (NAF) employees who work for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Navy Gateway Inns & Suites (NGIS) and Bachelor Housing (BH) throughout the Fleet and Family Readiness Program for the Naval District Washington (NDW) Region.

Duties

Assists in the supervision of employees assigned to the Bowling Center.  May contribute to the planning and scheduling of work assignments to accommodate weekends, evenings, and holidays by recommending number and placement of employees.  Directs daily work schedule of the personnel assigned and coordinates the upkeep of the facilities and equipment.  Reviews usage of equipment and recommends maintenance actions required.  Responsible for the collection of monies from resale and fee/charges and operation of a point of sale system.  May assist patrons in the selection of bowling equipment and supplies.  Ensures all transactions are carried out according to supervisory instructions.  Ensure that instructions pertaining to the security of monies are adhered.  Will be required to maintain and account for a change fund.  Assists in the training program for personnel assigned.  Assists in the overview of the complete operation of the Bowling Center.  Ensures the Bowling Center operates in accordance with instructions from higher authority.  May be responsible for activity reports, inventory control, locker rentals, and resale orders.  Assists in the promotion of the bowling program by assisting in organizing leagues, tournaments, and special events.

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old.  High school graduate desired.  Should have practical and theoretical knowledge of bowling facility management, operations, maintenance, and recreational characteristics connected with a military recreational program.  Must be able to interpret and follow detailed directives, manuals, and texts which are standard operational reference.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years old.



Work schedule may vary including weekends and evening hours.  Must be able to perform duties of moderate physical exertion of the equipment.  Must satisfactorily complete background investigation - National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI), upon hiring and renew every 5 years.
