The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for George Washington Memorial Parkway is May-November, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: July 9, 2017.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee.

Duties
- Utilizes a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of structures and grounds.
- Performs minor plumbing repairs of limited difficulty such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures, changing gaskets, unclogging sinks and toilets.
- Performs minor carpentry repairs of limited difficulty to buildings, structures, and picnic tables.
- Changes electrical outlets and switches.
- Constructs, installs, repairs, and replaces such items as doors, shelves, supply racks, hardware, frame structures, windows, trim, and cabinets.
- Performs routine maintenance at different sites and visitor facilities, to include cleaning restrooms and servicing chemical toilets.
- Receives, unloads, and processes incoming shipments according to established procedures, and reports discrepancies and damage to others responsible for such items.
- May perform other duties such as painting, assisting with masonry work, and roofing; or assisting higher graded worker with maintenance of utility systems in the facility.
- Operates a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
- Operates a fork lift to load and unload supplies and light equipment not requiring special rigging.
- Utilizes computers to enter payroll and work reports.
