This position is located at Mulligan's Restaurant & Banquet Center on Selfridge ANGB Golf Course. Mulligan's provides breakfast, lunch and dinner items to its customers of the golf course and also the workforce of Selfridge on a daily basis. They also provide special events that could run in the evening and weekends. Work schedules could include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays with very busy schedules during the summer months.

As a Food and Beverage Attendant (Snack Bar) you will be required to perform multiple services. You will need to be able to concentrate on work assignments despite any interruptions and distractions.
Need to be aware of the Sanitation standards.
Must have the ability to read and understand written material.

Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Duties

MAJOR DUTIES:
Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizza, French fries, etc. Prepares/slices lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and other vegetables for sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Removes perishable foods from the freezer for daily activities. Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleansed. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery. Accepts food orders from patrons and serves alcoholic beverages. Spot checks the guest checks to insure that the information recorded is correct. Coordinates food and beverage needs for specials events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas.
Follows all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules.
May work on a mobile eating cart driving around to deliver food and drink to patrons.
Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Orders fast food items, condiments, and other necessary supplies.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to:
1. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages.
2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision.
3. Ability to keep things neat, clean and in order.
4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques.
5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles.
7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment.
8. Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach.



Conditions of employment:
Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is requires within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverage. Certificate of Medical Examination is required.
Food Handler's examination will be required to included a check for communicable diseases. This will require a check for immunizations and a Tb test.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-15j.(1). Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
