This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to perform the work of an Electric Power Controller without more than normal supervision such as: 1) Controlling and operating the generation and distribution of electrical and steam cogeneration equipment and their auxiliaries (i.e., centrifugal pumps, diesel engines and generators, gas turbines and generators, package and heat recovery boilers, high voltage switchgear, cooling towers, water treatment systems, meters and gauges, valves, controllers, and dampers); 2) Initiating, starting, controlling, and shutting down emergency diesel generators and reciprocating engine generators set for life critical and emergency medical or electrical loads.
