Duties

However, we will not extend an offer of employment unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze or the hiring freeze is lifted.The position of Administrative Support Assistant is located in the Office of the Director, Philadelphia Regional Office, Philadelphia, PA. As a Administrative Support Assistant for the Veteran Benefits Administration you will:
- Maintain a comprehensive management reporting system to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in the completion of studies, surveys, projects, and reports that may concern workflow, workload, internal control or other issues.
- Provide administrative and technical support the staff of the Office of the Director.
- Compose correspondence and memoranda complex and non-technical nature for the signature of the Director/ Assistant Director.
- Recommend changes in administrative policies.
- Screen calls and visitors, and received and analyzes all incoming mail publications.
- Use a variety of personal computer (PC) software in order to produce documents and reports.
- Use word processing, database or spreadsheet software to design reports.
Position Description Title: Administrative Support Assistant GS-0303-05/07 full performance level 7
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
