About the Agency

The selectee for this position will serve as a Transportation Assistant (Freight) n the Shipping section, Warehouse Division, NAS Key West Detachment, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville Fl of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

• You will process for the operation all shipments less than 150 pounds.
• You will monitor back office for completion of Bill's of Lading.
• You will screen all shipments for proper documentation in accordance with current operating procedures and guidance

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Completing Government Bill of Lading and/or Commercial Bill of Lading; 2) Completing Transportation Discrepancy Reports and Transportation Control and Movement Documents; 3) Training of personnel who prepare correspondence for mailing which at a minimum covers proper addressing of mail, cost savings methods and protection of mail; 4) Monitor mail metering operations to ensure positive accountability for official mail costs and the purpose; 5) Preparing correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents using a personal computer, databases and software.

Requirements:
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the applicant fails to report to the scheduled drug test appointment. Incumbents of drug testing designated positions will be subject to random testing. Drug test results will be provided to the employing activity/command.
