This position is located at NSA Philadelphia.  Candidates selected for this position will serve as a Recreation Assistant (Fitness/Aquatic Support).                                          

Duties

Assists the Fitness Director to plan, arrange and execute activities for military, civilians and family members in the facilities assigned.   May explain and assist patrons in the use of the facilities, ensuring safe and proper handling of facility and sports equipment.  Responsible to review scheduled events to ensure facilities are prepared prior to scheduled time.  Assists in the opening and/or closing of facility ensuring building security before closing at end of day.  Checks ID cards to assure that only authorized patrons are utilizing the facility May answer telephone and personal questions providing excellent customer service.  Cleans and maintains facilities, performing janitorial services to ensure interior spaces are clean, neat and orderly.  Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have a minimum one year of work experience which involved dealing with the general public and general knowledge of recreational fitness, sports or aquatic programs. Must be skilled in customer service.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
