DESCRIPTION MESSENGER (MOTOR CYCLE) (LMO/TS 2)

The incumbent is responsible for providing general transportation and delivery services for the College.

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge/Skills

• Relevant License for riding a motorcycle
• Driver’s License
• Graduate Certificate at the Secondary level
• Current Police Record
• Sound knowledge of mechanical maintenance
• Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance
• Sound knowledge of the Road Code and other road regulations
• Basic knowledge of defense driving/riding
• Good defense driving skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• High degree of flexibility
• Good interpersonal, human relations and communication skills
• Excellent resourceful skills
• Excellent judgment and analytical skills
• Must be customer focused

Duties/Responsibilities
NB: We appreciate all responses, however only short-listed persons will be contacted.

• Collect and deliver mail, salary deductions, other items of correspondence to various institutions;
• Make lodgments to banks as is required;
• Visit the Post Office daily as scheduled to mail and collect letters and packages;
• Maintain a dispatch log daily. This includes recording the speedometer reading at each destination;
• In instances when the motorcycle is not in working condition, to effect delivery on foot or utilize public transportation
• Perform any other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Salary: Basic Salary (Range) - $8,185- $9,035 per week
