Summary
Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army. "The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze."
About the Position: The position is located at Dugway Proving Ground a remote & isolated installation approximately 50 minutes from Tooele, Utah and 90 minutes drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. USAG Dugway has a highly professional workforce providing support to an array of missions and organizations. Dugway offers various alternate work schedule opportunities with most of the workforce working 4 ten hour shifts Monday thru Thursday. DPG is physically remote, entirely self-sufficient with government housing available for civilians, an AAFES Exchange Outlet, Commissary, Community Club, Golf Course, Bowling Center, Physical Fitness Center, Child Care, Youth Services and Tooele County K-12 school system on post. Employees choosing to live off post may use subsidized commuter van transport which operates to and from many of the major cities and towns throughout Utah. Duties
You will serve as an Administration Support Assistant for the US Army Health Clinic. Perform a variety of administrative and specialized duties with continuing responsibility for projects, questions, or problems that arise. Work assignments involved a wide variety of problems or situations common to the Occupational Health programs. Assignments typically consist of management of medical information that comes into and leaves the clinic. The work requires knowledge and understanding of the overall requirements of the Army's Chemical and Biological Surety Programs and implementation of medical surveillance programs medical terminology.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing medical clerical and administrative office support duties, Schedule patient appointments and review incoming medical paperwork for completeness and appropriate routing. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-05.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Knowledge of Medical Clerical and Administrative Duties
Ability to Provide Office Support Duties
Skill in Using Automated Software Systems
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
To qualify for the GS-06 grade level based on education only, applicants must have completed at least 9 semester hours of graduate level education that is directly related to the position, such as, Medical Administration or Medical Management.(Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification)
