About the Position:
This position is located at the US Army Installation Management Command, Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Garrison Commander, Dublin, CA. (Camp Parks is a sub-installation of US Army Garrison Fort Hunter Liggett)
Camp Parks is located in a suburban area 40 miles southeast of San Francisco, 20 miles southeast of Oakland, and 30 miles northeast of San Jose at the junction of Interstate Highways 580 and 680. Employees are eligible for the Mass Transportation Fringe Benefit Program to commute in car pools, trains and busses. Work is performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office.
The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions.  This position is subject to the hiring freeze.  Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.

Duties


  • Initiate and compose routine correspondence
  • Record minutes at meetings
  • Provide status updates to initiator on issues
  • Coordinate with subordinate management and staff to obtain information on behalf of senior management
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy when confronted with an agitated caller
  • Generate travel orders and make travel arrangements in a computer program such as the Defense Travel System (DTS)
  • Schedule events/meetings to ensure they do not conflict with each other
  • Prioritize and act on incoming requests and issues

  • Occasional Travel
  • The business travel requirement is 5%.
