AHCA/NCAL’s #WhyICare workforce campaign broadcasts the stories of individuals who work in long term care, sharing what inspires them about their careers and how they got to where they are today.

This week, we’re pleased to introduce Lexi Rehkemper, Assistant Executive Director. Lexi was inspired at a young age – as a sophomore in high school – to one day run her own nursing home. She discovered this passion by working in a variety of roles, from a dietary aid to now an assistant executive director, seeing all sides of long term care and the many benefits it brings.
