Department of Correctional Services seeks qualified applicants to fill the position of Database Administrator (MIS/IT 4) in the Sex Offender Registry, Probation Services Department, Kingston. Salary range: $1,505,904 - $1,790,047 per annum and any allowances attached to the post.

(MIS/IT 4)

The ideal candidate must have the following:

Required Competencies:

• Ability to develop standards and procedures to guide and control database usage
• Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Knowledge of current technological development
• Knowledge in database administration

Minimum Required Qualaification and Experience:

• B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from a recognized tertairy institution
• Training in Management/Administration
• Four (4) years working experience in the field of Database Administration
• Knowledgeable in the use of SQL, Oracle or Microsoft Access
