Customer Service Officers (GMG/AM 2) - St. Ann, Jamaica - North-East Regional Health Authority

The North-East Regional Health Authority, a statutory body under the Ministry of Health, with responsibilities for the management  and delivery of public health services  within the parishes of St. Ann, St. Mary and Portland, is seeking to fill the position of Customer Service Officers at the St. Ann's Bay Regional Hospital.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the incumbent is responsible for supervising the Customer Service Clerks and providing guidance in the handling of customer service complaints.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Associate degree in Business Administration
• Certificate in Supervisory Management
• Certificate in Customer Service from a recognized training institution
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar capacity

Required Specific Skills and Competencies:

• Good analytical skills and sound judgement
• Ability to work on own initiative 
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• The ability to deal with internal and external customers tactfully and professionally
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Key Duties:

• Supervising customer service clerks to ensure conformance to human resource policies and procedures in handling customer complaints
• Preparing duty rosters for the Customer Service Clerks for approval by the Customer Service Manager and monitor attendance, punctuality and performance standards of the Customer Service Clerks
• Monitor Customer Service Clerks to ensure there is adequate coverage of all service delivery areas
• Ensuring that customer service surveys are being conducted for submission to the Customer Service Manager for further analysis within the specified timeframe
• Making recommendations to the Customer Service Manager in relation to disciplinary actions and training needs for the overall improvement of the customer service department
• Coordinating with the other Heads of Departments to ensure there is a cohesive approach to the delivery of customer service
