Driver (Kingston, Jamaica) - Pesticides Control Authority

The Pesticides Control Authority (PCA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to fill th post of Driver (DRI2) at its Kingston office on a contractual basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• To transport staff and public education materials to expos and other events
• To transport pesticides seized by the PCA to storage, or pesticides collected for analysis
• To collect or deliver packages, letters or any other documents as required
• To conduct transactions at banks, the tax office or any other agency or organization when instructed
• Ensure the vehicle is fully maintained and kept in good working condition

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) CXC passes, including Mathematics and English
• A valid general driver's license not less than 6000 kg, for at least five (5) years
• Previously worked within a similar role for at least three (3) years
• Basic knowledge of mechnics and vehicle maintenance would be an asset
• Willing to outside of normal working hours
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
