Applications are invited from qualified persons for the post of:

Operations Manager

Reporting to the Production Manager,  the Operations Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, managing, supervising, and controlling the operational activities of the plant, such as, efficiency, meeting generation targets, control of fuels, inventory, and consumables.

Duties Include:

• Plan the operational capacity of the engines, with the objective of carrying out the load daily dispatch on normal conditions;
• Plan KPI's and take the necessary action comply with the KPI's;
• Prepare detailed budget of fuel, lube oil, cylinder luvrication oil, water consumption and engergy production;
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department the corrective and planned maintenace for maintaining daily load dispatch to avoid the interruption of the load dispatch and plant operation.
• Evaluate the performance of operation procedures and plant equipment to determine areas for performance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechnical Engineering from a recongnized tertrary institution;
• Ten (10) years' experience in coodinating the operations of power plants with expertise in diesel engines, steam systems, fuel treatments, generating plants.
• Five (5) years' experience as Operations Manager or similar capacity in a power plant or similar environment.
• Knowledgeable of EAM, electronic, electrical and control systems, computation, energy generation and transmission.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify and solve a wide range of practical and intellectual problems.
