Job Specifications:
Core Functions:

• To assist the bursar in the managemenmt of financial and accounting affairs of the institution in a prudent manner in keeping with Government's fiscal provisions
• To administer the financial resources of the institution in accordance with Government regulations and the provisions of the Financial Administration and Auditiing Act and provide supervision for the Corporate Services of the institution. 

Minimum Requirements:

a) Specific knowledge required:

• Knowledge of FAA Act and Government of Jamaica Procurement Procedure
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office operations and selected accounting software
• Knowledge of electronic banking techniques

b) Qualifications and Experiences:

• First degree in Business/Accounting from a recognized institution or ACCA level 2, MIND certificate in Government Accounting with at least three (3) years experience working in an institution of similar standard

or

• Completion of a certificate/diploma/assocviate degree in government accounting, other relevant Financial Management Courses and at least eight (8) years accounting experience. Plus trainingin Procurement Guidelines and Government Accounting would advantageous.
