What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• provide coordination in a variety of areas including; time tracking and approvals, reporting, process management, training and other administrative activities
• prepare regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis for the unit
• develop and implement effective processes and procedures
• provide project assistance on various unit operational projects

Please note: The current location for this position is in Toronto, however, Oshawa may be considered as an alternate location for part of the work week based on operational requirements and upon the successful applicant's request as per the Central Agencies Cluster's flex program.

How do I qualify?

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:

• you have knowledge and skills in research, evaluation, and reporting, to compile and analyze data, and prepare a variety of reports
• you can analyze, interpret and evaluate administrative policies, procedures and practices
• you can identify and develop options and solutions to a variety of issues or problems
• you can coordinate a range of administrative support and tracking/monitoring processes

Organizational/Project Administrative Knowledge and Skills:

• you have project administrative skills to identify, monitor and assist with project implementation, priorities and unit deliverables
• you have demonstrated knowledge of project management processes and procedures to provide effective project administration and reporting in day to day operations
• you have planning and organizational skills to ensure timely development, production and implementation of programs

Computer Skills:

• you have knowledge of information technology applications and knowledge of databases and presentation computer software programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, to conduct quality edits/analysis, prepare reports, briefing materials and presentations

Communication and Relationship Management Skills:

• you can foster productive relationships with internal and external counterparts, decision-makers, cluster clients and other contacts
• you have consultation skills to advise project teams on issues and problems, expedite materials and provide assistance in organizing responses
• you have oral and written communication skills to liaise with staff, respond orally and in writing to inquiries, prepare a variety of documents and reports, and provide clear and accurate administrative policy and procedural interpretations, advice and guidance
