Event Sales Executive
The Event Sales Executive will be responsible for ensuring sales objectives are met, as well as, managingall aspects of the department. He/she will be responsible for the planning, organizing and ovberall execution of events on property and will co-ordinate withevents/food and beverage service staff to ensure consistent and excellent service standards. He/she will be the key point of contact during these functions.
Specific Knowledge and Skills required:
- Sales driven
- Strength in the areas of networking and marketing
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong leadership/management skills and ability to indetify staff training needs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of wedding/event space capacities, set-up and break-down, proper preparation and service of food and beverage products, inventory, and any pertinent details as it relates to successful event planning and execution
- Must be able to multi-task, analyse and resolve pronblems, while exercising good judgement
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
- Must be flexible and able to work evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications and Experience:
- B.Sc. in Hospitality Management or Business Management
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in planning and executing events and/or banqueting functions along with administrative experience
- Experience within the hotel industry is a plus
Front Desk Agent
The Front Desk Agent will be the first point of contact with guests and is primarily responsible for providing excellent and consistent customer service. He/she will also receive telephone calls, respond to queries, book reservations and liaise with other departments throughout the length of each guest's stay.
Specific Knowledge and Skills required:
- Naturally customer centric
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Outgoing and pleasant demeanour/voice
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding situations
- Must be flexible and able to work various shifts, weekends and/or holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Fluency in a second language is a plus
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate degree in Hospitality Management or related area of study
- Minimum of two (2) years front desk/customer service experience
- Experience with Room Master software is a plus
