Tastee Limited is looking for motivated, committed and customer-driven individuals to fill the post:

FACTORY TECHNICIAN

Our Factory Technician are responsible for the mechanical maintenance, repair and installation of production line plant and equipment involved the manufacturing process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled maintenance and preventive maintenance for all food processing equipment in the planbt to include ovens on a frequent cycle to ensure longevity of ovens and proper baking
• General maintenance and repair of all air compressors and air lines
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all production equipment and machinery in the factory
• Maintain all wheels on racks, tubs, transits and make sure they are greased and in good working order
• Ensure safe, reliable and effective operations of all plant and production equipment that extends equipment life
• Responsiblefor monitoring and following all fod safety and quality procedures
• Repair of plant and equipment to ensure minimum downtime to production
• Work with manufacturing engineers to install new and replacement plant equipment
• Record maintenance activities carried out for plant equipment
• Calibrate plant equipment within ISO 9001 standards
• Ensuring all maintenance operations are carried out in accordnace with safety and quality procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Report all safety issues to maintenance manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
• Minimum two (2) years experience in a simialr capacity
• Experience and /or training in HACCP environment  would be an asset
• Must be able to consistently produce accurate and professional, quality work
• Must be able to approach a problem and systematically develop and test solutions

Required Technical Competencies:

• Experienced in the maintenance and servicing of rotational machines
• Ability to meet  and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors
• Ability to install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing and other related systems
• Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed 
• Knowledge of the basic elements of good manaufacturing practices and occuapation hazards and coresponding safety precautions in an manufacturing environment and the ability to apply them
• Must have sharp mind that is alays alert, and be able to respond to situations requiring urgent attention
• Must work closely and in coordination with the maintenance manager and try to identify problems early
• Must have working knowledge of electrical, motor controls, main distribution, process control wiring and components.
