Strawberry Hill, located in Irish Town, St. Andrew, a member of the Island Outpost Group, is seeking a suitably qualified individual to fill the position of:


Events Coordinator

Job Purpose:

The Events Coordinator is responsible for the planning and execution of conferences, events and event related activities on & off property. The incumbent shall ensure that all procedures are followed to the brand standards and that enquiries receive a timely response with accurate information. Additionally, he/she is to ensure that the Events Department operates effectively and efficiently by providing optimum service to clients & working close with other hotel departments; and by maximizing the company’s potential to do business, maintaining positive guest relations at all times.

Core Competencies:

• Strong Computer Skills;
• Must have strong leadership and motivational skills;
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;
• Must be driven and be able to work on own, as well as part of a team;
• Able to build and maintain relationships, both internal and external

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in Events within a luxury brand setting;
• Experience managing the planning and execution of weddings;
• Flexible and open minded to accommodate special requests;
• Analytical skills in interpreting reports to identify trends and needs;
• Excellent customer service skills
