Who can apply: To be eligible, you must be:
-a full-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited institution
-currently recognized as having full-time student status by the academic institution in which you are presently enrolled
-returning to full-time studies in the next academic term and
- between the ages of 16 and 30 to be hired for a student job (Young Canada Works funded positions).
- the minimum age to work in the province where the job exists (Federal Student Work Experience positions).
-have legal status to work in Canada. Please indicate in your application the reason for which you are entitled to work in Canada: Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit.

Duties

As a member of the visitor services team, you may be:
• Responsible for revenue collection at either the entrance gateway, campgrounds, visitor reception centre.
• Performing routine cleaning and maintenance.
• Handling cash and operating point of sales, including balancing transactions.
• Interacting with the public in a reception/orientation capacity.
• Anticipating/meeting public needs.
• Working in a team environment.
Duties require incumbents to:
• Make moderate physical effort to sit and stand for prolonged periods and/or to clean facilities/grounds.
• Be exposed to variable weather conditions.
• Be exposed to noxious odours from car fumes, to dust, cleaning products and wet conditions.
• Be exposed to minor injury when performing cleaning and maintenance activities
• Work shifts, weekends, statutory holidays and alone if required.
• Wear a Parks Canada uniform and safety equipment.

Note: Completion of secondary schooling required. Consideration may be given to students graduating in June 2018.
