The successful candidates will analyze nest monitoring data for barn swallows (species at risk, schedule 1 SARA), body condition data for nestling barn swallows, land use/land cover data around study barns, examine land use intensity as determined via stable isotopes, and/or analyze VHF telemetry data to examine the movement and survival of nestling barn swallows in southern Ontario.Work environment

Enrolled in a Master's Program in science at Western University, with an acceptable specialization in biology or some other science field relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE
Experience manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting VHF telemetry results from the Motus Wildlife Telemetry System.
Experience manipulating, interpreting, processing and/or analyzing remote sensing data using a professional GIS software package (such as ESRI ArcGIS or QGIS).
Experience with the statistical and visualization software R, including the application of glmm models and/or Bayesian hierarchical models.
Experience preparing feathers for isotope analysis and interpretation and analysis of isotope data.
