The Medical Review Section is responsible for the delivery of medical review programs including suspending driving privileges for drivers found to be unfit due to medical reasons and reinstating driving privileges for those individuals deemed to meet the medical standards. Annually we process around 200,000 medical reports and handled over 200,000 telephone calls.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will be part of a team delivering driver improvement programs by:
• making quick decision, exercising judgement and accessing risk on complex medical conditions
• analyzing medical reports and documents that are used to make decisions
• interpreting and applying legislation and standards
• responding to inquiries from the public, staff and stakeholders on legislation, medical standards, guidelines, policies and procedures
• processing medical documents for disclosure in accordance with the Freedom of information and Protection of Privacy Act

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• You are proficient in French at the advanced level for both written and oral.

Demonstrated Analytical and Evaluation Skills:

• You have reasoning and analytical skills to assess documents, identify and resolve errors and make decisions.
• You have evaluative skills to assess the relevancy of information, identify issues and trends and recurring problems.
• You have the ability to make accurate and quick decisions.
• You have the proven ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and decisions.

Proven Administrative and Office Skills:
