Job description:

General Accountability:

 The Assistant Merchandiser is responsible for the efficient replenishing of items on the shelves of the Service Station’s Convenience Store. They are responsible for promoting and marketing food products by means of store displays. Food merchandisers may use visual techniques to attract customers.

Specific Duties:

• Maintains the store’s shelves by observing displays of company products.
• Removing damaged or expired products, tidying store shelves, providing optimum display of products.
• Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels.
• Prompts store management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for damaged products.

Qualifications required:

Person Specifications:

  Minimum Acceptable Academic/Technical/Professional Qualifications.

  Two G.C.E./O’Level passes and a valid Police Certificate of Good Character.

Specific Skills/ Experience and/ or Knowledge

  Good customer Service Skills.
  Good interpersonal skill.
  Highly organized
  Detail oriented
  The desire to work flexible hours.
