Pharmacist/Quality Control Officer - Kingston, Jamaica

A leading manufacturing company which operates in the Kingston area is seeking to fill the below position: 

Pharmacist/Quality Control Officer

Scope of position:

Oversee the regulatory/quality management activities of the department to achieve overall objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations of the Quality Assurance Laboratory
• Manage the development and modification of the Quality Management Systems
• Review technical problems and procedures, and recommends solutions where necessary
• Review and approve documentation as per Ministry of Health Guidelines
• Liaise with local regulatory agencies

Requirements and Key Competencies:  

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Registered with the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica
• Minimum of three (3) experience in a similar capacity, ideally in the manufacturing and quality control environment
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and the ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent human relations skills with the ability to work with internal and external persons at various levels
• Experience in working with ISO 9001 would be an asset.
