This position is located at the Civilian Personnel Advisory Center - NAF Human Resources Office, Fort Huachuca, Arizona.
This is a regular full-time position (40 hours) with eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plan.

Duties

Major Duties:

Coordinates with management officials to recruit for position vacancies, with an emphasis on job fairs and special recruitment efforts. Conducts strategic recruitment discussions with management officials to advise on recruitment strategies. Creates and posts vacancy announcements. Rates resumes for qualifications, hiring preference/priority criteria and other job-related criteria. Refers qualified candidates to management for consideration. Respond to applicant and management inquiries on procedures such as application procedures, application statuses, criteria used in qualifications decisions. Validates management selections are compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements. Extends job offers and conducts pre-employment screenings, reference checks, initiates background checks and federal investigations. Assists selectees during pre-employment process and regularly keeps the selectee and management appraised of status. Coordinates entrance on duty dates once pre-employment requirements are met, prepares new hire paperwork and provides new employee orientation briefings. Advises on and enrolls employees in benefits programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession demonstrating the capability to performing recruitment and placement functions such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility.
2. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
3. Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
4. Possess work experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc.).

Best Qualified Criteria:
In addition to the minimum qualifications, prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment and placement capacity.

There is no education substitution for experience for this position.


Conditions of Employment:

5. Incumbent must be willing and able to work a schedule that includes occasional evenings and Saturdays.
