JOB POSITIONS AT PSI MALAWI , DEADLINE 6 JUNE 2017

PSI Malawi is a member of PSI international who is a global health organization dedicated to improving the health of people in the developing world by focusing on serious challenges like a lack of family planning, HIV and AIDS, barriers to maternal health, and the greatest threats to children under five, including malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia and malnutrition. 

PSI Malawi is therefore inviting applications from qualified, experienced and result oriented persons to urgently fill the following vacant position:

HTC Provider

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide HIV testing and counseling services 
• Ensure and monitor appropriate referral of clients to psycho-social support, care and treatment.
• Ensure quality, authentic and accurate records are maintained and kept 
• Submit activity reports 

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in providing HTC plus certificate in HIV Testing and Counselling.

HTC/ART Nurse

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide HIV testing and counseling services 
• Ensure and monitor appropriate referral of clients to psycho-social support, care and treatment.
• Ensure quality, authentic and accurate records are maintained 
• Provide PEP and STI 
• Submit activity reports

Qualification and Experience 

• Diploma in nursing with minimum experience of 1 year  in a similar post.     
• Certified HTC and ART provider. 

Skills and Knowledge

• Pleasant and open attitude to serving clients, including youth.
• Willingness to travel 75% time to rural areas.
• Be self-starter, effective team player and demonstrated verifiable result-oriented track record

Skills and Knowledge

• Clear understanding of HIV Testing and Counselling
• Oral and written communication skills
• Facilitation & negotiate skills
• Be self-starter, and  effective team player
