ULTRASONOGRAPHER VACANCY
Applications are invited from candidates who meet the requirements for the position of
Ultra sonographer – at Tasakhtaa Hospital
Location: Zanzibar- Vuga
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director, Supervisor and Radiologist, performs sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require sound judgement and initiative to apply ultrasound for diagnosis. Performs color doppler vascular exams as well as abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts exams.
Other duties includes:
Qualifications: Three years educational or specialized training program in sonography and must be registered with relevant bodies or eligible to be registered.
Minimum of two years clinical experience in vascular color doppler, Abdominal, OB/GYN, and small parts ultrasound under the supervision of a qualified Radiologist

- Organize and perform ultrasonographic examinations, document high quality images and practice good patient care.
- Arrange transportations to and from ultrasonograph department for inpatients and emergency patients.
- Works with radiologists in special procedures such as setting up and maintaining sterile trays for biopsies and injections.
- Analyze technical information. .
- Use independent judgment in recognizing the need to extend the scope of a procedure according to diagnostic findings.
- Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. This is inclusive of departmental, surge ry, Lab and portable exams
