This announcement is for a Regular Part Time, NF-03 Administrative Support Assistant with Fort Leavenworth's Child, Youth, and School Services (CYSS). CYSS provides quality childcare, outstanding school age care, exciting child & youth enrichment programming, fun and challenging sports opportunities and exceptional instructional programming for all CYSS families. Applicants for this announcement may be selected to work within any one of Fort Leavenworth's CYSS facilities. Facilities include Child Development Centers (6 weeks to 5 years), School Age Centers (1st-5th grades), Youth/Teen Center (6th grade - 18 years), the SKIES Unlimited Program (all ages), as well as Parent and Outreach Services (registration & special needs support, parent support, and Kids on Site).

Duties
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Utilizing Child and Youth Management System (CYMS) to oversee the collection, accurate accounting and reporting of funds; and to collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data for planning and reporting purposes IAW higher headquarters and statutory requirements.
- Using an electronic cash register system and calculator to compute and record individual transactions for customers and to enter data into predefined categories for regulatory-signed statistical reports and tracking of income data as it pertains to the CYS program.
- Providing administrative support, such as typing/word processing, E-Mail/mail preparation, copying, mail distribution, filing and, telephone communications
- Using office automation equipment and word processing software to prepare correspondence, memorandums, briefings and Daily Activity and other reports required for day-to-day operation, invoices, supply and equipment requests, referring to agency regulations, dictionaries, and other typical office reference materials to ensure proper format, grammatical accuracy, and correct spelling.
- Maintaining records, files, statistical data, suspense system, leave and time and attendance records.
- Understanding and articulating policies relating to patron fees, waiting lists and program events.
- Coordinating vacancies and reservations for the hourly care program as required.
- Working cooperatively with Resource and Referral to track program vacancies and occupancy rates as required.
- Ensuring risk management procedures (i.e., abuse prevention, identification, and reporting procedures; accident prevention, etc.) are followed.
