Updated PBJ Manual Now Available

This week, CMS posted an update of the Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) manual. Highlights of the changes are listed below.

• Clarified the need for facilities to check the Final File Validation Report.

• Further clarified that reporting the hire and termination dates are optional.

• The following positions are now optional

          - Dentists
          - Podiatrists
          - Vocational Service Workers 

Providers are encouraged to go to the CMS PBJ website and download and review the updated PBJ manual and FAQs. Remember that data from January 1 – March 31 2017 must be submitted by May 15th.
